Hmmmm, I don't know, I mean the hall is really meant to be display (and hopefully reward) of achivements. Events and such are fun and made easy for everyone ie. They aren't taken seriously by the Devs.

Sorry but /notsigned

I fully agree with this, turning up for an event isn't really an achievement, you could say the same about spamming "WTB MINIPETZZ" in Kamadan though, but i think obtaining minipets from birthdays or whatever is different...

Since the monument will still show only 20 items, it doesn't matter how much do you add AS LONG AS THEY ADD A WAY TO SORT AND CHOOSE THE ONES YOU WANT TO SHOW.

The masks could be in something like this:

I don't care about displaying them as part of the HoM, I don't count them as "achievements" either, but...
I still want them on my characters in GW2, the masks are still a nice collectible, some actually look good, and they serve as a way to show how long you've been playing GW or the events you participated in.

A character wearing the original Pumpkin Crown will be recognized as someone who plays the GW series since 2005.

Since the Festival Hat NPC already knows the masks you managed to get on your account, maybe his "list" should carry to GW2, with a similar NPC...

Would be unfair towards those, who couldn't participate in events.

In my opinion, festival hats are a better thing to have in the HoM then the "heroes with elite armor" monument. I've always been kinda vexed with the choices they made in creating the HoM (the titles, armor, and mini pets one kinda work, the heroes and the destroyer weapon one is kinda silly).

I like the idea. We can show off mini's and such, why not the festival hats?

Im with Frozy and Ryker. Not exactly an achievement (apart from length of time playing GW maybe) - but if HoM is the link between the games, then having the hats in GW2 would be nice.

I'm neutral. I agree with Frozy and I agree with Tyla.

I guess /signed. I don't have as many hats as I should but I'm not really opposed to those who do getting to wear them in GW2 - unless they make them have armor stats. If they do, then /notsigned because I'll be jealous.

I agree with Mithran. We need to fix/improve how the HoM works before we add more stuff to it.

Past that, the purpose of the HoM is to give rewards to people in GW2 for achievements in GW. Being at an event for a hat is hardly an achievement, and there will be new events and new festival items to be had in GW2.

I think several people who joined GW later on will oppose to the idea. However HOM is a place you put junk anyway so why not festival hats. I like it though.

Great idea. You made the effort to attend so you should be able to add it.

I missed a couple of years of festivals myself (damn you Counter-Strike) but I would still like to show the ones that I have managed to get.

I'd sign if there was a way for people to get hats from events they didn't attend. Not fair to people who buy the game tomorrow and can't get any of the hats until Wintersday coming up. All other items are obtainable. Minipets can be purchased, and armor can be bought, as well as Tormented/Destroyer weapons.

Being at an event and getting the hat is far more of a personal achievement (and a better memory to boot) than buying minipets. /signed on adding festival hats to the minipet monument. When I first read that description, I immediately thought it would have been logical to add them there, since it's talking about the fun we've had in our non-fighting time. That just screams "festivals" to me.

For people whining about how it wouldn't be "fair": it's not like it would take away your ability to add minipets to the monuments. Everyone would be able to add at least a few hats at least. Festival hats (and the CE aura) are the one thing left in GW that is un-buyable and cool to have, just a little cosmetic something, which is precisely how the HoM will (should) reward us in GW2. It fits perfectly. Everyone does not have a chance at filling their HoM with all the rarest minis, armors, tormented weps, and high-level titles, so I really don't see the difference with festival hats.
